Stepping Into Aeropostale ~ Seaside Livin'

Every now and again, somethings happen that make you smile... The sun coming up on a hot summer day, your dog licking your face awake or in this instance... Becoming an Aeropostale Style Ambassador!

With Atlas arriving a few weeks ago, I've been a little bit under the radar (this parenthood thing is even tougher than I imagined)  but I'M BACK! And with a bit of a bang actually! I'm genuinely delighted to be a style ambassador for the Aeropostale family with the opening of their first store in Ireland just under a year ago. I'll always remember my first purchase from an Aeropostale store in Atlanta back in 2007 (I was on a J1 and trying to fit in!), a hoodie that I went on to wear almost everyday for about two years. Aeropostale are one of those few brands that are so distinctly American in their style and aesthetic and in many ways it is great for to keep in touch with the American half of my family.... There's something you didn't know about me 😉

So anyway, I was set the task by the Aeropostale team to put together a look perfect for the Irish barbecue and after much deliberation, I came up with this simple (but in some ways daring) outfit which consists of a pair of over the knee denim shorts, a long sleeve floral print tee shirt and a simple cape. Topped up with a STAMPD hat from TK Maxx and my current favourite kicks from Life Style Sports and you have the perfect outfit for summer (you'll need the cape because let's face it, this is Ireland after all)

A trip to a burger joint on the Dun Laogharie seaside was the perfect place to check out this look and luckily the sun was out (for a while) while we watched families dipping their feet in the water, collecting rocks and slurping on ice cream cones, while hop-skipping across the rocks brought me back to a younger and simpler time!

Look out for more looks over the next few weeks and pop into the new Aeropostale store located in Liffey Valley; tell them I sent you 🤓
