One of my favourite thing about being a pre-teen was waking up early on a Saturday morning, sitting in front of the TV and watching cartoons for hours. I think in many ways, it was the idea of getting lost in the sights and sounds of someone else's imagination that led me to this favourite of pastimes... At 30, I find myself doing it all over again...

Scrolling through Instagram one day, I stumbled upon Wannabe Clothing, and I was hooked! I found myself poring over each and every one of their re-imaginings of pop culture as we know it. Wannabe is a collaborative effort of two working out of the mean streets of LDN and I have so much respect for what they have done and what they are doing. Taking pre-loved denim jackets, they create one off pieces of wearable art that are quite simply brilliant in their simplicity.
I was lucky enough to get the Regrets jacket, which is based on one of my favourite TV shows of ALL time, the Rugrats (right up there with Biker Mice from Mars and TMNT). It's a very simple design featuring Angelica's doll, Cynthia alongsode the slogan, regrets. I do wish I could wear it everyday, but alas, summer in Baile Átha Cliath lasts about a day and a half.
Only recently, I found out that the Rugrats show is over 25 years old, that is fairly rough, especially if like me, you watched the follow up show, All Grown Up back in the early noughties. If the lovable toddlers were real people, they would have been finished with college (all except Dil probably) and been in entry to mid level positions wherever they ended up.
You would think that all of this would leave me seriously wondering what in blazes I've done with my life so far, but in all honestly, I have no Regrets.
