Paper Jam @ Bread & Bones

Before you go on, I must let you know that this is a gushy entry ahead... I'm in love with Bread & Bones and they've just given me another reason to love them...

On Tuesday evening, Bread & Bones teamed up with Will St Leger to launch a new and novel experience in the restaurant that I'm sure to come back to every time it is on!  The Bread & Bones Paper Jam eperience took place in my home away from home (not the college library) and consisted of a mixture of great food, fabulous company and an immersion in art.

The sign of a good night is one where everyone is included and has a great time and Tuesday night was more. Coming in, you are greeted by one of the co owners, Jack and the in house artist and DJ Will St Leger (who took a picture of you on arrival) and led to a communal area for around twenty people. The good thing about the evening is that you'll get to meet total strangers and end up being besties (a term I've never used before) by the end of the night.

The food is everything of what I've rave about Bread & Bones; there's two choices on each of the starters, the mains and the desert. I had the sumptuous chicken wings to start; they're probably the best in town and that's saying something! For the main, I had the Katsu curry which I've never had in here before (for a safe bet dish, it was delicious!) and for desert I had the most delicious brownie known to man. I warned you this would be a gushy post!

Well, while dinner was being ordered, served and devoured, Will worked away in the background creating some really cool prints for everyone of the diners. He also worked some magic on the portrait shots he took of us all earlier and well the end results were brilliant! We got to join in the fun by taping the different bits of people's faces together to create... Well... Interesting mashups of the diners.

You can't beat that kind of entertainment on a Tuesday night (wether or not there's ballet on in the city) so keep an eye on the Bread & Bones website for a heads up on when the next event will be held! In the meantime, pop in and tell them I sent you 😉
