Here we are again... December rears its head and announces to the world, 'it's okay to be Christmassy now'
Yes its a little colder and we're wearing a few more layers but there's sparkly lights acting as stars over our cloud covered dark streets and it's enough to subdue the Grinch in the most cynical of us.
I have to be honest here and say that I've always hated Christmas. I've always hated the commercial nature of the period and never really understood why people always get so stressed out at a time that is meant to be about love and company.
The last few years however, I've let myself free to enjoy the atmosphere with one little caveat... It's not the festive season until the first of December. That said, today is the first day of the last month of the year and it means my Grinch has packed up and moved to warmer climes until the 29th;
So here are some of my favourite pictures of Dublin bathed in lights to send off any lingering grinches out there...
